Windmills Craftworks, the design-led cultural space known for bringing together music, craft beer, global cuisine and architecture, made its debut in Hyderabad this weekend with a special Jazz Theatre evening. Founded in 2012, the brand is known for its immersive experiences across Bengaluru, India, and Texas, USA.
The Hyderabad launch was marked by a performance by the acclaimed Stéphane Wrembel Trio. Led by French guitarist Stéphane Wrembel, the ensemble brought the sound of Gypsy Jazz to the city. Wrembel, whose music has featured in films such as Midnight in Paris and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, performed alongside Josh Kaye on guitar and Ari Folman-Cohen on bass. The trio presented a set rooted in the Gypsy Jazz tradition inspired by Django Reinhardt.
The evening reflected Windmills Craftworks’ vision of being a music-first destination, drawing audiences into an intimate live performance setting. The event was attended by patrons and cultural figures from the city, including actor and entrepreneur Naga Chaitanya, actress Sobhita Dhulipala, Rohin Dharmakumar, Co-founder and CEO of The Ken, and Laura E. Williams, Consul General at the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad.
Guests experienced Windmills Craftworks’ signature offering, which combines music with curated food, craft brews, and a library of books on art, design, architecture and music, marking the brand’s first introduction to Hyderabad.
Kamal Sagar, Founder of Windmills Craftworks, said, “At its heart, Windmills Craftworks honours music in its purest form – sounds that move you and stay with you. Launching in Hyderabad with the Stéphane Wremble Trio felt like the perfect expression of that belief. I’ve been a long-time admirer of their work and seeing the city embrace this experience so wholeheartedly reaffirmed our conviction that great music and food deserve great spaces.”
Akshay Puljal, General Manager of Windmills Craftworks (Hyderabad) added, “We love creating experiences rooted in music, arts, and crafts – spaces where food and design meet music and meaning. Our vision is to build Windmills Craftworks in Hyderabad as a home for discerning audiences – where artists from around the world celebrate music and listeners feel deeply connected.”
The Hyderabad launch marks a new chapter in Windmills Craftworks' journey to create music-led spaces that foster meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
