
Voco Hotels has appointed Sumit Kumar as Executive Chef at voco Amritsar, strengthening the hotel’s leadership team as hospitality operators continue to focus on differentiated food and beverage experiences to drive guest engagement and banqueting revenue.
In his new role, Sumit Kumar will oversee culinary strategy and kitchen operations across the hotel’s restaurants, in-room dining services, and banqueting divisions. His responsibilities will also include menu planning, maintaining kitchen standards, staff training, and managing overall guest dining experiences at the property.
Chef Sumit brings more than 16 years of international culinary experience with expertise in Italian and Progressive Indian cuisine. During his career, he has worked with major hospitality brands including ITC Hotels, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Radisson Hotel Group, Marriott International and IHG Hotels & Resorts.
His professional experience includes assignments across Saudi Arabia, Dubai, England and Japan, where he gained exposure to international culinary practices and dining operations.
