Restaurant India News: voco Amritsar Appoints Senior Leadership Team Across Key Hotel Operations

As competition intensifies in North India’s hospitality market, voco Amritsar has strengthened its senior management team with a series of leadership appointments across sales, finance, operations, engineering, human resources, housekeeping, front office and security functions.

The move reflects the growing focus among hotel operators on experienced leadership talent as brands expand in key spiritual and leisure destinations across the country.

The property has appointed Sunit Rana as Director of Sales. Rana brings 19 years of experience in the hospitality sector and has previously worked with brands including IHG Hotels & Resorts, The Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts, Radisson Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Pride Hotels, Sarovar Hotels and Chokhi Dhani Group. His experience includes sales strategy, market development and brand positioning across luxury and upscale hotel segments. At voco Amritsar, he will lead the property’s sales strategy with a focus on market expansion and revenue growth.

Roshan has joined the hotel as Director of Finance and Business Support. With more than a decade of hospitality finance experience, he has previously worked with IHCL in Goa and global hotel operators including Hilton and Marriott International. His expertise includes financial planning, budgeting, compliance, audit management and operational efficiency. In his new role, he will oversee the financial operations of the property and support business growth aligned with IHG standards.

The hotel has also appointed Saurabh Singh as Executive Housekeeper. Singh brings over 15 years of experience in housekeeping operations and has worked with brands such as Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Le Méridien. He has additionally been associated with pre-opening projects including Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort and Kempinski Ambience Hotel Delhi. His responsibilities at voco Amritsar will include overseeing housekeeping operations and maintaining operational standards across the property.

Shivendra Singh has been named Director of Human Resources. With over 12 years of experience in hospitality HR, his background includes talent management, employee engagement and organisational development. At voco Amritsar, he will oversee the hotel’s people strategy and talent development initiatives.

Narendra Yadav has been appointed Chief Engineer. He brings more than 14 years of experience in hospitality engineering, with expertise in preventive maintenance, electrical engineering, audit compliance and energy conservation. Yadav was also part of the pre-opening team at voco Amritsar and previously served as Engineering Manager at Holiday Inn New Delhi Aerocity. His earlier assignments include roles at Le Méridien Hyderabad, Holiday Inn Express Kolkata Airport, Courtyard by Marriott Agra and MHRS Indore. Over the years, he has received recognition including the Best Executive of the Year award along with multiple Executive and Associate of the Month accolades.

In front office operations, the hotel has appointed Radhika Chhetri as Front Office Manager. Chhetri has more than 10 years of hospitality experience and began her journey through the IHG Academy. Prior to joining voco Amritsar, she spent six years with IHG brands including Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn, while also gaining experience with Accor and Marriott. She will oversee front office operations and guest experience management at the property.

Faizan Malik has taken charge as Security Manager. Before joining the hospitality sector, Malik served with the Delhi Police Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs for more than 8.5 years, including assignments at the District Magistrate Office and as Personal Security Officer to the SDM Shahdara. His hospitality experience includes roles with The Leela Palace New Delhi, Radisson Blu Kaushambi Delhi NCR, Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport and Ramada Encore by Wyndham. His credentials include certifications as a Certified Security Professional and Certified Protection Professional, along with qualifications in disaster management, fire management and first-aid training.

The appointments come at a time when hospitality operators are increasingly investing in experienced leadership teams to improve operational efficiency, strengthen revenue management and deliver standardised guest experiences in emerging travel markets.
