Restaurant India News: SOCIAL Reopens Palladium Outlet With IKEA-Inspired Concept in Mumbai

Palladium SOCIAL has reopened at Gourmet Village in Phoenix Palladium, Mumbai, with a new design-led concept inspired by IKEA-style living spaces. The revamped outlet reimagines the café-bar experience through interconnected home-like zones, blending community, comfort, and accessible design for urban consumers.

The new Palladium SOCIAL, located at Gourmet Village in Phoenix Palladium, has introduced a refreshed concept that draws inspiration from IKEA’s catalogue-style home environments. The outlet features spaces designed like different parts of a home, including living rooms, kitchens, dining corners, and bunk-bed-style seating areas, creating an immersive café-bar experience.

The redesign reflects changing urban lifestyles, where cafés and third spaces are increasingly becoming extensions of home for Millennials and Gen Z consumers. SOCIAL said the concept combines accessible design, community interaction, work, dining, and leisure within a single environment. The reopening also marks Palladium SOCIAL’s relocation to Gourmet Village, the design-led dining destination within Phoenix Palladium. The company said the new outlet has been created to cater to shoppers, officegoers, families, and young consumers looking for flexible social spaces.

Commenting on the newly designed outpost, Riyaaz Amlani, Founder and Managing Director, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “At SOCIAL, we have always believed that the best spaces are the ones people can make their own. IKEA has changed how people imagine everyday living by making design feel accessible, functional, and full of possibility. With Palladium SOCIAL, we were inspired by that familiar world of rooms, catalogues, and lived-in settings, and reinterpreted it through the SOCIAL lens. The idea was not to create a formal dining environment, but a place that feels intuitive, democratic, and alive.”

Patrik Antoni, CEO, IKEA India, further shares, “At IKEA, we have always believed that good design should be experienced, not just seen. Palladium SOCIAL is a playful expression of that idea- a space that feels open, relaxed, social, and full of personality. It reflects how younger urban India is increasingly blending home, work, leisure, and community into one fluid way of living. For us, this is an exciting example of how IKEA solutions can help brands create immersive, culture-led experiences that go far beyond traditional spaces.”

“We are delighted to welcome SOCIAL to Gourmet Village at Phoenix Palladium, a move that further strengthens our vision of building one of Mumbai’s most progressive and culturally relevant dining destinations. SOCIAL has been an intrinsic part of the Palladium experience over the years, consistently resonating with the city’s evolving social and dining culture. Its transition into Gourmet Village represents a natural next chapter in that journey, bringing together a brand with strong cultural recall and a destination designed to champion next-generation food and lifestyle experiences,” said Varun Chhibber, CEO: Hotels & President: Malls, The Phoenix Mills Ltd.

With the new outlet, SOCIAL aims to strengthen its position as a community-driven café-bar brand offering democratic and design-forward social spaces in urban India.
