Restaurant India News: The Westin Pune Koregaon Park Unveils Reimagined Aafreen with Pan-Indian Menu

The Westin Pune Koregaon Park has relaunched Aafreen: Inspired Indian, introducing a refreshed dining concept that showcases regional Indian cuisine through a menu built around traditional recipes and contemporary culinary techniques. The revamped restaurant expands its focus beyond Awadhi cuisine to offer dishes representing multiple regions of the country.

The restaurant's new culinary direction is led by Master Chef Mohd. Mahtab Shaikh, an Awadhi specialist from Lucknow who trained under Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. With over a decade of experience, Chef Mahtab has curated a menu that highlights India's regional food traditions while incorporating modern presentation and cooking methods.

The updated menu features a selection of artisanal small plates, tandoor specialties, slow-cooked dishes, regional favourites, signature biryanis and traditional Indian desserts. Signature offerings include Kakori Kebab, Chicken Vepudu, Dum Pukht Gosht Biryani, Kerala-inspired Seabass Moilee, and Brioche Shahi Tukda, representing culinary influences from different parts of the country.

In addition to the food menu, the dining experience incorporates handcrafted terracotta serveware, tableside service elements and a cocktail programme inspired by regional botanicals, Indian spices and locally sourced ingredients.
