Restaurant India News: Swizzle Targets National Scale After Rs 2 Crore Seed Round

Bengaluru-based clean-label beverage startup Swizzle has raised Rs 2 crore in a seed funding round finalised on the entrepreneurship show Ideabaaz. The round was led by angel investors Sooraj Singh, CEO and founder of Unibots, and Shaili Chopra, founder of SheThePeople and Gytree. The funding followed Swizzle’s pitch and product tasting during the show.

According to the company, the capital will be deployed to support expansion across high-volume sales channels, strengthen its presence in retail and HoReCa, increase manufacturing capacity, and build teams across key functions. The startup plans to deepen distribution through vending machines, quick commerce platforms, and mass retail, while entering Hyderabad this quarter. It is also scaling HoReCa operations across tier 1 cities, with a focus on national foodservice chains and premium restaurant groups.

To support growing demand, Swizzle will expand its production capacity from 250 litres per day to 2,000 litres per day, enabling output of up to 40,000 cans per day. The company will also add headcount across Sales, Operations, and Marketing.

Swizzle’s beverage portfolio is positioned around clean-label formulations, using real fruits and herbs and excluding artificial flavours, colours, and chemicals. Over the next 12–18 months, the brand aims to secure 5,000 retail placements in Bengaluru and Hyderabad and scale to over 20,000 outlets nationwide. Additional targets include deployment across 7,500 vending machines, onboarding more than 2,000 HoReCa outlets, and launching on major quick-commerce platforms through 1,500 plus dark stores. Existing HoReCa partnerships include Zomoz with 70 plus outlets and Chalu Chinese with 200 plus outlets, with upcoming associations planned with Wow Momo, CCD Express, and Barista.

Swizzle co-founders Vrinda Singhal and Deepender Singh said in a joint statement, “This investment isn't just capital, it's validation of our belief that India deserves cleaner, better beverages. Ideabaaz gave us incredible visibility, and this round will help us scale across retail, quick commerce, and HoReCa while staying true to our clean-label philosophy.”

Sooraj Singh, CEO and founder, Unibots, said, “I chose to back Swizzle because it delivers exactly what today's consumers want a genuinely good non-alcoholic drink. The team has cracked the balance of taste, health and convenience.”

Shaili Chopra, Founder, SheThePeople and Gytree, added, “My conviction in Swizzle comes from the product and the founders' clarity. The taste, the clean ingredients, and the standout packaging make Swizzle ready to lead India's better-for-you beverage movement.”

With this funding, Swizzle is focusing on building scale across retail, vending, and foodservice channels, as it looks to strengthen its position in India’s growing clean-label ready-to-drink beverage segment.
