Restaurant India News: Swiggy Launches EatRight Exclusives in Bengaluru with High-Protein Versions of Popular Dishes

Swiggy has introduced EatRight Exclusives in Bengaluru, expanding its healthy eating initiative through partnerships with some of the city's well-known food brands. The move reflects the growing demand for nutritionally balanced meals that retain the flavours consumers are familiar with.

The newly launched offering, available exclusively through the Swiggy app, brings together macro-friendly versions of popular dishes developed in collaboration with brands including Truffles, A2B - Adyar Ananda Bhavan, Lo! - Low Carb and Keto Foods, Truth Bowl, The Bowl Company, Biryani Blues, Potful - Claypot Biryanis, Millet Express, Caterspoint and Saladspoint.

The curated menu spans multiple categories including starters, salads, burgers, South Indian dishes, North Indian meals and bowls, with a focus on higher protein content and controlled calorie counts. Customers can access the range by selecting the EatRight Exclusives section within the EatRight category on the Swiggy app.

According to the company, participating restaurant brands spent 10–12 weeks reformulating some of Bengaluru's favourite dishes to improve their nutritional profiles while preserving their taste appeal. Truffles has introduced a new line of lettuce-wrapped burgers featuring options such as Tandoori Paneer (22gm Protein), Tex Mex (24gm Protein), Chicken Steak Burgers (24gm Protein), Creole Prawn (23gm Protein), Slow-Pulled Chicken Salads (41gm Protein) and Voodoo Spiced Prawns (30gm Protein).

South Indian restaurant chain A2B - Adyar Ananda Bhavan has added dishes including Millet Dosas, Veg Paya Idli and Double Paneer Uthappam, while Millet Express is offering Ragi Ghee Karam Idli and Ragi Idli paired with Egg or Paneer Bhurji, delivering between 12gm and 25gm of protein per serving.

The initiative also extends into traditionally indulgent categories. Biryani Blues has introduced Chicken and Paneer Biryanis containing 50gm of protein, while Potful's Chicken Tandoori offers 65gm Protein. For consumers following low-carb dietary preferences, Lo! - Low Carb and Keto Foods has added Creamy Chicken Steak (44gm Protein) and Peri Peri Grilled Chicken (45gm Protein).

Meal bowl concepts are also central to the launch. The Bowl Company and Homely have expanded their offerings with dishes such as Coastal Fish Curry, Matar Paneer, Caribbean Grilled Chicken with Herbed Rice, Punjabi Chole with Brown Jeera Rice and Paneer Tikka. Truth Bowl's line-up includes Chicken Kheema Masala Bowl (13gm Protein), Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl (26gm Protein) and Paneer Tikka Masala Bowl (17gm Protein). Caterspoint and Saladspoint have introduced high-protein meals including Grilled Chicken with Hummus (66gm Protein) and BBQ Grilled Chicken with Vegetables (64gm Protein).

Deepak Maloo, Vice President – Food Strategy, Customer Experience & New Initiatives, Swiggy, said, "While we were building EatRight, we realized that there is a huge gap between what people want to eat and what they feel they should eat. Also, some widely loved food items are a strict no-no for the health conscious consumers. By partnering with iconic brands to create protein-packed and macro-friendly versions of historically indulgent foods across major cuisines, we aren't just giving our users better choices—we are expanding the very definition of healthy food on our platform. We want to prove that eating right doesn't mean eating boring. One can eat healthy and still enjoy his/her favourite dish. It is heartening to see that brands have enhanced nutritional quality of their dishes to appeal to the health conscious consumers- from increasing protein content, reducing refined ingredients, rebalancing meal composition, to introducing healthier ingredient alternatives. We are confident EatRight Exclusives will become an integral part of the daily regime of the healthy and better-for-you food lovers in the city of Bengaluru."

Swiggy's EatRight platform, launched in January 2026, currently operates across more than 50 cities in India and features 3 million items spanning multiple cuisines. The company stated that EatRight now serves approximately 5 million monthly transacting users, with 1 in every 6 orders in Bengaluru placed through the EatRight category.
