Restaurant India News: Sula Vineyards Introduces The Source Chardonnay Reserve to Premium Wine Line

Sula Vineyards, India’s leading wine producer, has introduced The Source Chardonnay Reserve, the latest addition to its premium The Source range. The wine is crafted from selected vineyards and oak-fermented, presenting a dry white Chardonnay designed to offer a balance of complexity, richness, and freshness.

The medium-bodied wine has 13 percent ABV and features honeyed aromas with subtle vanilla notes on the palate. Oak fermentation adds texture and depth while maintaining vibrant freshness, positioning the wine as a versatile option for dining occasions and special events.

The Source Chardonnay Reserve is recommended with dishes such as creamy pastas, grilled seafood, roast chicken, and artisanal cheeses. The Source portfolio, which already includes six wines including a popular Pinot Noir, continues to expand with this launch, reflecting Sula Vineyards’ focus on terroir-led expressions and consistent quality.

Gorakh Gaikwad, COO and Chief Winemaker at Sula Vineyards, said, “With The Source Chardonnay Reserve, we wanted to create a wine that truly expresses the elegance of Chardonnay when treated with care and precision. Oak fermentation adds depth and texture, while the natural freshness keeps the wine balanced and approachable. It’s a Chardonnay that speaks of smoothness, complexity, and quiet confidence—an ideal way to begin the new year.”

The Source Chardonnay Reserve is priced at Rs 1,250 for a 750ml bottle and Rs 685 for a 375ml bottle. It is currently available in wine shops across Maharashtra, with availability in Karnataka expected in the coming months.
