Skope Kitchens has introduced Al Mashawi Shawarma, a UAE-inspired food brand developed as part of its in-house B2C portfolio. The launch marks the company’s continued expansion beyond its B2B infrastructure model into consumer-facing offerings within India’s delivery-first food market.
The brand is currently operational across multiple locations in Bengaluru, including JP Nagar, Marathahalli, and Kalyan Nagar, with delivery coverage across the city. It is available on platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, and Ownly, along with takeaway options from its kitchen units.
Al Mashawi has been positioned as a UAE-inspired shawarma concept built within Skope’s operational ecosystem. The offering focuses on standardised recipes and consistency, addressing gaps in a fragmented shawarma market where quality and format vary widely. The menu draws from Arabic-style preparations, incorporating elements such as garlic toum, pickled vegetables, and kuboos bread, alongside variants adapted to local preferences including Peri Peri and Chicken Tikka.
The pricing strategy places the offering at approximately Rs 400 for two, targeting high-frequency consumption and repeat ordering rather than premium, occasion-based dining. This aligns with broader trends in India’s food delivery segment, where value-driven, consistent formats are gaining traction.
Arvind Krishnan, Founder, Skope Kitchens, said, “Al Mashawi reflects how we approach both product and platform, while our B2B business enables brands to expand using our infrastructure, our B2C arm allows us to build concepts where we see strong demand but limited consistency. Shawarma as a category is widely available, but there’s a clear gap when it comes to authentic formats delivered with reliability.”
The brand operates on Skope Kitchens’ standardised kitchen systems, enabling operational control and scalability without significant additional infrastructure. This model allows the company to expand its owned brands while maintaining efficiency across locations.
The launch indicates a stronger focus by Skope Kitchens on building proprietary brands alongside its partner network. By leveraging its existing delivery infrastructure and operational systems, the company is positioning itself to scale multiple in-house concepts across key urban markets in India.
