Restaurant India News: Sheraton Grand Bangalore Appoints Shivangi Gupta as Director of Sales and Marketing

Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway has appointed Shivangi Gupta as Director of Sales and Marketing, reinforcing its focus on strengthening commercial operations in a competitive urban hospitality market.

Shivangi brings over 14 years of experience in the hospitality sector, with a background in revenue generation, market positioning, and sales leadership across multiple luxury hotel brands. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing the hotel’s overall sales and marketing strategy, with an emphasis on increasing market share and driving revenue across corporate, MICE, and leisure segments.

Her role will also include overseeing distribution strategies, improving channel performance, and implementing data-driven approaches to meet key performance indicators such as RevPAR and ADR. Industry observers note that such appointments are aligned with the increasing reliance on analytics-led decision-making in hotel revenue management.

Shivangi’s career includes leadership positions with Accor and Indian Hotels Company Limited. She has also worked at Vivanta Bengaluru Residency Road and most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Taj Yeshwantpur Bengaluru, where she handled commercial strategy for a business hotel. She began her career with Accor at Novotel & ibis Bengaluru Tech Park through its management trainee program.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Hotel Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Goa.

Sushma Khichar, General Manager, Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway, said, “We are happy to welcome Shivangi Gupta to the Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway team. Her strong commercial acumen, strategic mindset, and proven ability to drive results make her a valuable addition to our leadership team. We are confident that her expertise will further strengthen our market positioning and contribute significantly to the hotel’s continued growth.”

The appointment reflects an ongoing trend in the hospitality industry where hotels are investing in experienced commercial leaders to optimise revenue streams and strengthen brand positioning amid rising competition in key metro markets like Bengaluru.
