Seasee, a contemporary Southeast Asian restaurant in Bandra. The restaurant officially opened on June 24, 2026, offering a menu inspired by the street food traditions of countries across Southeast Asia.
Founded by hospitality entrepreneurs Saamir Chandnani and Rinchen Angchuk, known for concepts including Mirai, the restaurant builds on their experience in Mumbai's food and beverage sector. Seasee has been developed around recipes and flavours the founders encountered while travelling across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Founder Saamir Chandnani said, "After years in hospitality and building concepts like Mirai together, Rinchen and I travelled across Southeast Asia and found ourselves returning to the same kind of places - the busy food streets and local eateries serving some of the most memorable meals of our trips. That journey became the inspiration for Seasee. This is our way of bringing those experiences together and celebrating the authentic flavours, energy, and diversity of the region's street food culture in Mumbai."
The restaurant's menu focuses on dishes inspired by Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia while also incorporating flavours from other Southeast Asian countries. Offerings include Tom Yum, Vietnamese Pho, Thai Mango Salad, Chicken Satay, Singapore Chilli Crab Lajiao, Pad Thai, Mee Goreng, Thai Green Curry, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Pad Krapow, Malaysian Char Kway Teow, and Pla Kapong. Dessert options include Mango Sticky Rice, Pandan Burnt Basque Cheesecake, and Lapis.
Seasee also features an interactive wok station where guests can customise noodles or rice with a choice of proteins, sauces and toppings. Orders placed directly at the station are prepared on priority, reflecting the fast-paced service style of Southeast Asian street markets.
Complementing the food menu is a cocktail programme curated by co-founder Saamir Chandnani, featuring beverages inspired by tropical fruits, herbs and spices commonly used across Southeast Asia.
Designed in collaboration with the Holy Duck team, the approximately 60 seater restaurant incorporates artwork, open dining spaces and an interactive layout inspired by Southeast Asia's street food culture, with interiors created to support communal dining and guest engagement.
With the launch of Seasee, the founders aim to expand Mumbai's dining landscape through a concept centred on authentic Southeast Asian flavours and street food-inspired experiences.
