Restaurant India News: Alienkind Raises $3.2 Million in Pre-Series A Round to Fuel Expansion

Alienkind has raised $3.2 Million in a Pre-Series A funding round to support its expansion strategy and strengthen its presence across new markets in India. The company also plans to raise a larger Series A round in the coming months as it scales its operations.

The funding round saw participation from existing investors, including Prakash Sikaria, Founder of Super.money, Ravi Iyer, Senior Vice President at Flipkart, Arpan Sheth, Global Innovation Head at Bain & Co., along with other investors.

Founded as a next-generation food and beverage brand, Alienkind focuses on combining food, design and community-driven experiences to build consumer engagement. The company said the fresh capital will be deployed to expand into additional cities while supporting the next phase of business growth.

Vikram Kakkireni, Co-Founder of Alienkind, said, "Alienkind was built to break the shackles of the traditional food and beverage ecosystem. The traditional ecosystem was built around transactions. Alienkind was built to transcend them."

The company is targeting an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $10 Million by the end of FY27. It has also outlined plans to expand its retail footprint to 100 stores by FY28 across major cities in India.

Alienkind has expanded across multiple cities within 16 months, supported by its pricing strategy and brand positioning. The latest funding is expected to strengthen the brand's expansion plans as competition intensifies in India's organised food and beverage sector.
