Restaurant India News: POCR Marks Himalayan Expansion with New Café in McLeodganj

Pour Over Coffee Roasters (POCR), a specialty coffee brand from Delhi NCR, has opened its first café in McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh. Located near the Dharamshala–McLeodganj Skyway and the Dalai Lama Temple, the new outlet marks the brand’s expansion into the Himalayas. Founded by Ritika Sharma and Aditya Sharma, the café aims to bring together travellers, locals, artists, and remote workers through specialty coffee, food, and community-focused experiences.

After building a presence across three locations in Delhi NCR, POCR has chosen McLeodganj as its next destination, reflecting the brand’s focus on thoughtful hospitality, culture, and meaningful connections rather than traditional urban expansion.

Set at an altitude of 2,082 metres, the café has been designed as a destination-led space that blends with the Himalayan surroundings. The venue features a community table alongside the coffee bar to encourage interaction, while a 15-foot seating ledge overlooking Temple Road offers guests a place to relax and take in the town’s atmosphere.

The menu highlights POCR’s specialty coffee programme with consciously sourced and in-house roasted beans. Guests can choose from espresso-based drinks, manual brews, cold brews, matcha beverages, and signature creations such as the Orange Americano and Cran-Brew. The beverage menu also includes beers, wines, and wine-based cocktails. Alongside coffee, the café serves an all-day food menu featuring breakfast dishes, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, pastas, and desserts. Signature offerings include Lamb Meatballs, Fish & Chips, cheesecakes, tiramisu, and chocolate mousse.

"After opening three locations in Delhi NCR, we found ourselves asking a simple question: where next? The answer wasn't another high street. It was a place that felt emotionally aligned with what Pour Over is becoming as a brand. McLeodganj felt like a natural next step. Delhi taught us speed and scale; McLeodganj teaches us intention " says founder Ritika Sharma.

"There's something incredibly unique about McLeodganj," adds Aditya Sharma. "People arrive here from all walks of life, often searching for something, whether it's adventure, inspiration, connection, or simply a pause. We wanted to create a space that becomes part of that journey.”

With its McLeodganj opening, Pour Over Coffee Roasters is strengthening its focus on destination-led hospitality, creating spaces where coffee, food, culture, and community come together in unique settings.
