Restaurant India News: Namah Brings Authentic South Indian Darshini-Style Dining to Mumbai

Bengaluru-inspired South Indian QSR brand Namah has opened its first outlet in Mumbai at Four Bungalows, Andheri West. Inspired by Bengaluru’s popular darshini-style eateries, the restaurant aims to bring traditional South Indian flavours and hospitality to the city.

Built around the philosophy of “Namma Mane, Nimma Mane” (My Home is Your Home), Namah combines regional cuisine with design elements inspired by South Indian homes. Guests are welcomed through a traditional Padipura-style entrance, while the interiors feature courtyard-inspired spaces, landscaped seating, a Ganesh idol, and artwork celebrating South Indian culture.

The restaurant’s design incorporates materials such as Kota stone, marble, terracotta tiles, terrazzo, and Sadarahalli stone. Several architectural and decorative elements have been sourced from Karnataka and other parts of South India, adding to the authenticity of the space.

The menu focuses on classic South Indian dishes from different regions. Highlights include Mallige Idli, Thatte Idli, Ghee Podi Mini Idli, Mangaluru Buns, Goli Baje, Khara Pongal, Paniyaram, Shavige Bhaat, and Khara Bhaat. Traditional accompaniments such as coconut chutney, tomato chutney, sambar, and neer chutney complete the offerings. Desserts feature regional favourites including Obbattu served with badam milk, Ada Pradhaman, Pineapple Bhaat, Mysore Pak, and Wheat Halwa made with palm jaggery.

On the beverage menu, Filter Kaapi takes centre stage and is available in multiple formats, including hot, iced, milkshake, and softy versions. Other options include Tender Coconut Juice, Masala Majjige, fresh juices, and softy flavours such as Salted Caramel, Tender Coconut, and Guava Chilly. With growing demand for authentic regional cuisine in Mumbai, Namah aims to offer diners a genuine taste of South India through its food, design, and hospitality-driven experience.
