Restaurant India News: One Door Down Opens in Gurgaon With Music-First Nights and Med-Indian Dining

Gurgaon’s nightlife circuit has a new entrant with the launch of One Door Down, a high-energy resto-bar created by founders Amit Kumar and Ravi Nara. The venue combines Mediterranean–Indian fusion food, a focused cocktail program, a music-driven identity and an atmosphere designed for both social evenings and relaxed daytime use.

One Door Down positions itself as a space where curated playlists, modern dining and consistent service build an experience centred on rhythm and mood. The interiors feature warm lighting, textured sections, comfortable seating and a design inspired by contemporary neighbourhood bars with the energy of global music lounges. The venue extends into an outdoor area designed for daytime coffees, casual meetings and open-air evenings. Its café-style layout allows a smooth transition from day to night and offers a versatile setting for different types of guests.

Music drives the brand’s identity, with a weekly schedule designed around themed nights. Wednesdays present Sufi with a Twist, Thursdays highlight Latin influences, and Fridays focus on NuDisco and Electro Retro. Saturdays move into Afro House and Commercial House with an Afro Bolly touch, while Sundays are built around all-white brunches inspired by Greek and Ibiza afternoons. Each day introduces a different sound and structure.

The menu, developed by Chef Megha Kohli, Chef Noah Barnes and Chef Ruchira Hoon, is based on a Med-Indian fusion idea with dishes meant for sharing. The lineup includes items such as Cherry Tomato and Burrata with tamarind dressing, Sesame Jackfruit Croquettes, Bang Bang Kataifi Prawns, Harissa Spiced Fish, Rigatoni Arrabbiata with burrata and Lamb Adana with hummus. Larger plates include Peshawar Cottage Cheese, Tehrani Jujeh Kebab and Spanish Chicken Paella. Desserts include Honey Burnt Cheesecake, Chocolate Lava with butterscotch ice cream and Tres Leches with rose vanilla cream.

The cocktail program follows a clean and balanced approach, with classic profiles updated through citrus, herbs and spices. Signature drinks aim to complement the venue’s changing musical styles, from Sunday brunches to high-energy Saturday nights.

The design ties the space together through warm amber tones and seating that allows movement from dining to socialising. The outdoor section adds a fresco-inspired café element.

Founders Amit and Ravi emphasise music as the starting point for the brand. Ravi Nara’s background in Europe and the US, along with his experience in the Washington DC nightlife circuit, informs the music-led approach. As he explains, “Music has the power to shift energy and set the tone for the entire evening. Every night here has its own sound and personality. We set out to revive the city’s missing culture of themed music nights and elevate it with refined flavours, standout cocktails, and a sense of class… And as we say, sometimes, the best nights happen just One Door Down.”

One Door Down enters Gurgaon as a venue built around rhythm, food and community. With its location, flexible outdoor section, curated music calendar and accessible price approach, it aims to position itself as a preferred space for consistent after-work evenings and weekend nights.
