The Marriott India Business Council successfully concluded the 11th edition of its annual community initiative, Road to Give, bringing together associates, partners, and local communities across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. The campaign, which started as a small fitness-based social drive over a decade ago, has now become a large-scale regional movement promoting empathy, inclusion, and collective social impact.
This year, more than 10,000 Marriott associates participated by running, walking, and cycling to raise awareness and funds for a social cause. The initiative collected over Rs 1 crore, which will support Rising Star Outreach of India — a Chennai-based non-profit organization that works towards rehabilitating individuals and families affected by leprosy through education, healthcare, and vocational training programs.
Highlighting Marriott’s continued commitment to its core value of Putting People First, associates across participating hotels organized wellness events, charity runs, and volunteer activities to promote both physical well-being and community engagement.
“Each year, Road to Give reminds us of the extraordinary power of collective purpose,” said Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, Marriott India Business Council. “As we commemorate the 11th year of this remarkable initiative, we celebrate not just the funds raised or the miles covered, but the spirit of unity and compassion our associates bring to their communities. Their efforts continue to strengthen Marriott’s legacy of care and commitment across the region.”
Over the years, Road to Give has evolved into a key initiative within Marriott’s culture of community engagement. It encourages employees to become active contributors toward social change while emphasizing wellness and empathy. Each edition underlines the idea that business success is most meaningful when it drives positive change for society.
As the Marriott India Business Council reflects on this year’s success, it expressed gratitude to all associates, partners, and supporters whose participation made the 2025 edition possible. Every step taken and every contribution made reinforces Marriott’s long-term vision of creating a more compassionate and inclusive future within the hospitality industry.
