Mamagoto has reopened its outlet at DLF Promenade with a redesigned concept centred around Asian cultural influences from the 1970s. The relaunch forms part of the brand’s broader strategy to create location-specific restaurant identities instead of maintaining a uniform format across all outlets.
Operated by Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., the restaurant’s new concept, titled “Welcome to Then,” draws inspiration from cities such as Osaka, Tokyo, and Hong Kong during the 1970s. The redesign incorporates references to the Osaka Expo, Japanese street culture, Hong Kong visual aesthetics, and jazz café influences from the period.
The updated outlet features a revised menu focused on regional Asian dishes alongside signature pan-Asian offerings. New additions include Bangkok Chinatown Vegetarian Dimsum, Charcoal Prawns with Spicy Bonito Mayo Glaze, Salmon Aburi Nigiri, Kamala Beach, Soi 11 5Cs, Peranakan Heritage Fried Fish Cakes, Slow-Cooked Pork & Pumpkin Red Curry, Pad Kra Pao Kai, K-Pop Porky Bowl, and Peanut Butter Mousse.
“The new Mamagoto menu celebrates Asia's regional depth. We've gone hyper-specific with flavours, techniques, and ingredients while keeping the food approachable and fun. It's familiar yet unexpected — rooted yet experimental — and aligned with how today's diners explore Asian cuisine,” said Chef Ravi Saxena, Corporate Chef, Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.
The company said the DLF Promenade outlet represents the first implementation of its hyper-local restaurant strategy, where each location will be designed around a distinct cultural reference point from across Asia.
“The DLF Promenade relaunch is part of a wider, intentional evolution for the brand. Mamagoto is simultaneously entering new cities, including Kanpur, Itanagar, Coimbatore and Indiranagar, Bengaluru, while reimagining its existing restaurants with distinct neighbourhood-specific narratives, moving decisively away from a single uniform identity,” said Vineet Kochhar, COO Azure Hospitality Pvt Ltd.
Mamagoto, which first launched in 2010 at Khan Market, is continuing its expansion across multiple cities while repositioning its dine-in formats around experience-led dining and regional storytelling.
“On January 21st, 2010, we put together a few tables and chairs and opened Mamagoto in Khan Market. Since then, it’s been one unforgettable rollercoaster — fuelled by passion, chaos, gratitude, and people. To our team, suppliers, families, and competitors — thank you for helping us grow every single day. And to you, thank you for giving us a reason to do what we do. Because without you, there would be no buzzing restaurants, no celebrations, reunions, first dates, or golden anniversaries. No feedback to learn from. No reason to evolve. Mamagoto was created for you, and every step of this journey has been because of you. Much more to come. Eat well,” said Rahul Khanna, Co Founder & Director, Azure Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.
