Restaurant India News: Mai Mai Opens Second Outlet on MG Road Bengaluru

Mai Mai has launched its second outlet on MG Road Bengaluru, marking its expansion in the city following the response to its Indiranagar location. The new space reflects a scaled format while maintaining the brand’s existing dining approach.

The restaurant has a capacity of 35 covers, with indoor and outdoor seating. A significant portion of the layout is allocated to the kitchen, with an open format designed to integrate food preparation into the dining experience. The layout is structured to enable operational flow and direct interaction between the kitchen and guests.

The menu at the MG Road outlet includes both existing and new dishes, with plans for further additions. Core items such as Korean Bibimbap, Egg-wrapped Fried Rice, and Scotch-kissed Mousse remain on the menu. New additions include Juicy Steamed Mala Oil Wontons, Goguma Karaage, Char Sui Roast Pork, Ginger Scallion Steamed Fish, and Celery Chicken Stir Fry. The offering also features Sizzling Stone Bowls such as Sizzling Oyako Donburi and Char Sui Roast Pork Noodles, along with Phuket Night Market Kale Fried Rice. Desserts include options such as Forest Cherry Rum Cake. These additions are expected to be introduced at the Indiranagar outlet as well.

The beverage program has been curated by Ganga Gahle, co-founder of Wine Community Bangalore. The selection includes wine, sake, and soju, along with cocktails such as Mai Mai Picante, Golden Sakura Spritz, Yuzu Blossom Spritz, Seoul Jasmine Iced Tea, and Ginger Lemongrass Wine. The offering also includes sake variants like Ginjo, Junmai, Junmai Ginjo, and Sparkling, along with a zero-proof menu featuring Picante, Yuzu Old Fashioned, and Signature Salted Caramel Coffee.

Yash Bhatia and Megha Bhatia, Co-Founder, Mai Mai, said, “The love and patience our guests showed us at our first space truly shaped this decision. We’ve been listening closely to the response and experiences from Chapter One in Indiranagar, and that has guided us as we step into this new phase introducing newer elements while holding on to everything that defines Mai Mai: warmth and comfort. At the same time, it was important for us to create a kitchen that gives our team the space they deserve, because the experience begins with them.”

The expansion reflects the brand’s approach to scaling within Bengaluru by retaining its existing format while adapting to a larger and more central location.
