Restaurant India News: Jubilant FoodWorks Launches Landmark Tax Filing Program for Over 1 Lakh Domino’s Delivery Partners

Jubilant FoodWorks Limited (JFL), one of India’s leading food tech companies, has rolled out a major financial welfare initiative for its gig workforce. In collaboration with ClearTax, the company has introduced a digital process to support more than one lakh Domino’s delivery partners in filing their Income Tax Returns (ITR) and receiving eligible TDS refunds efficiently.

Through this program, delivery partners who were associated with Domino’s during the last financial year were able to use ClearTax’s platform to file their returns and view their refund amounts instantly. The initiative is projected to channel over Rs 1 crore in refunds back to the company’s delivery fleet, reflecting JFL’s focus on supporting financial stability beyond daily earnings.

Sameer Batra, President and Chief Business Officer, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, said, “Our delivery partners are the backbone of Domino’s and play a vital role in ensuring that we deliver hot and fresh pizzas to millions of customers every day. By facilitating easy access to TDS refunds, we are not only supporting their financial wellbeing but also contributing to their formal financial inclusion. As one of the leading emerging markets’ food service and food tech companies, we remain committed to instituting people-first initiatives at scale that truly make a difference in the lives of our gig workforce.”

Archit Gupta, Founder and CEO, ClearTax, added, “We are proud to partner with Jubilant FoodWorks on this landmark initiative. Gig workers form an important part of India’s economy, and making tax filing simple, transparent, and accessible for them is a step towards building long-term financial empowerment.”

This initiative is part of Jubilant FoodWorks’ larger strategy to enhance the overall welfare of its delivery partners, who act as the primary touchpoint between the brand and its customers. By implementing this at scale, the company is setting an industry precedent for how businesses in the food service and hospitality sector can make structured, measurable contributions to the gig economy.
