Restaurant India News: Ice Cream Works Gold Launches Premium Popsicle Range to Expand Product Portfolio

Ice Cream Works Gold has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new popsicle range, marking its entry into the frozen handheld dessert category. The move reflects a broader trend within the food and beverage sector, where established brands are diversifying formats to capture incremental consumption occasions.

The newly introduced line consists of handcrafted frozen bars positioned within the premium segment. The products are developed using real fruit and dairy inputs, with no artificial colours or preservatives, aligning with current consumer demand for cleaner-label indulgence products.

The initial portfolio includes three variants targeting different flavour preferences. The Dark Double Chocolate Bar focuses on a high-intensity chocolate profile, while the Swiss Almond Chocolate Bar combines chocolate with nut-based texture elements. The third variant, Passion Fruit Mango Popsicle, is positioned around fruit-led flavours, combining mango with passion fruit to cater to seasonal taste preferences.

From a retail and hospitality standpoint, the launch signals a category expansion strategy aimed at increasing brand presence across multiple consumption settings. Popsicles, as a format, offer flexibility in distribution, making them suitable for standalone retail, quick-service formats, and experiential dining environments such as resorts, cafés, and event catering.

The company is also positioning the range to cater to varied consumption occasions, including individual indulgence, social gatherings, and hospitality-led experiences such as poolside service or dessert menus. This aligns with evolving consumer behaviour, where premium frozen desserts are increasingly being integrated into both casual and curated dining formats.

With this launch, Ice Cream Works Gold is leveraging its existing brand equity in the luxury ice cream segment to enter a high-frequency category, indicating a focus on expanding share within the broader frozen dessert market.
