Foodstories has secured ₹50 crore in funding from Nikhil Kamath, a major endorsement of the company’s ambition to build one of India’s most thoughtfully curated food and lifestyle platforms. Existing investor Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office has also reaffirmed its confidence by continuing to support the business in this funding round.

Founded by sisters Ashni Biyani and Avni Biyani, Foodstories was created around the idea that food is more than sustenance; it shapes lifestyles, cultures and everyday experiences. The platform brings together a carefully selected network of farmers, artisans, chefs, bakers and food entrepreneurs, offering consumers a trusted destination to discover exceptional food products and experiences.

With an established presence across Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Foodstories has expanded in Mumbai. The company recently launched its flagship store in Bandra and is set to open a second outlet in Lokhandwala in the coming weeks. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen its digital commerce capabilities, expand its delivery ecosystem and support the growth of its retail network. Positioned at the intersection of retail, hospitality and digital commerce, Foodstories is redefining how consumers explore, purchase and engage with food.

“Better food is one of the highest leverage changes a person can make to how they live,” said Nikhil Kamath. “Foodstories is one of the few platforms building the real infrastructure for that. The founders understand both the product and the business they’re building.”

“We’re building a ₹1,000 crore business,” said Ashni Biyani. “Curation, experiential retail and a strong digital layer. That combination is what gives us conviction in the scale of what’s possible here.”

For Avni Biyani, that scale is only meaningful if the standards hold. “We obsess over quality, craftsmanship and provenance. Growth doesn’t change that.”
