Restaurant India News: Conrad Bengaluru Appoints Abishek Chandran as Director of Marketing and Communications

Conrad Bengaluru has announced the appointment of Abishek Chandran as Director of Marketing and Communications, strengthening its leadership team amid increasing competition in the luxury hotel segment in Bengaluru. With more than 14 years of experience in the hospitality sector, Abishek brings operational knowledge across strategic marketing, brand communications, and integrated campaign management, functions that are becoming critical as premium hotels focus on demand generation, brand differentiation, and market share growth.

Before joining Conrad Bengaluru, Abishek held senior leadership positions with international hospitality brands. His overseas experience includes working with Accor in the Maldives, where he supported the pre-opening of Pullman Maldives and managed marketing communications for Mercure Maldives. This role provided exposure to positioning high-value leisure destinations and managing destination-led communication strategies for international markets. After returning to India, he led marketing and communications for the Hilton Goa cluster, including Hilton Goa Resort and DoubleTree by Hilton Goa Arpora–Baga, where he worked on destination marketing initiatives aimed at strengthening Goa’s positioning as a premium leisure market.

He most recently served as Cluster Director of Marketing and Communications at Hilton Gurugram Baani City Centre and DoubleTree by Hilton Gurugram Baani Square, focusing on improving brand visibility and executing regional campaigns to support occupancy and revenue objectives.

Abishek said, “I am honored to join Conrad Bengaluru, a property that exemplifies excellence in luxury hospitality. I look forward to working with the talented team here to strengthen the hotel’s narrative aligning with the brand objectives, delivering impactful experiences that are rooted in culture and contribute to the hotel’s growth and success.” The appointment reflects a broader industry trend of strengthening marketing leadership at the property level as luxury hotels in metro markets compete on experience, visibility, and brand recall.
