Ode, the fine dining restaurant by Chef Rahul Akerkar and Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality in Worli, has introduced The Sandwich Edit, a delivery-only menu that reimagines comfort food with precision and balance.

Chef Rahul Akerkar, known for shaping Mumbai’s dining culture over three decades, brings his philosophy of care, balance, and memory to an everyday staple — the sandwich. Drawing inspiration from his New York years and love for clean, structured food, he has developed a menu that blends simplicity with craftsmanship. “There’s something deeply satisfying about a well-made sandwich,” says Chef Rahul Akerkar. “That’s what The Sandwich Edit is all about — simplicity done with intention.”

The Sandwich Edit reflects global influences while keeping the experience approachable and flavour-driven. The menu offers thoughtful compositions that combine texture and taste with clarity.

Highlights include the Grilled Mushroom Ciabatta, featuring roasted mushrooms, enoki tempura, pommes Anna, whipped feta, caramelised onions, and truffle-dressed rucola. The Avocado, Tomato & Stracciatella Sourdough brings Mediterranean freshness with grilled avocado, roasted cherry tomatoes, kalamata olive tapenade, balsamic reduction, and crunchy seed granola. For something bolder, the Black Rice & Bean Cheeseburger combines a crisp patty with guacamole, mango salsa, manchego, and nacho chips for a balanced mix of crunch and heat.

For meat lovers, options include the Ham & Cheese Cubano with roast ham, Gruyère, pickled grapes, and sharp mustard; the Salmon & Schmear Bagel, a nod to New York mornings with cream cheese, fried capers, and dill; and the Smashed Double Buff Cheeseburger, layered with Gruyère, Emmenthal, cheddar, and bacon-onion jam.
