
Isthara has facilitated the entry of Mexican restaurant brand Casa Loco into the Indian foodservice market with the launch of its first outlet in Hyderabad. The opening marks Casa Loco’s debut in India and reflects the increasing demand for international cuisines within organised urban dining formats.
Casa Loco originated in Vietnam and was developed to serve authentic Mexican food to both local consumers and international visitors. The brand currently operates three outlets across Da Nang, Hoi An, and An Bang. Its expansion into India represents a strategic move as global restaurant brands continue to explore growth opportunities in emerging consumption markets.
From a hospitality and retail perspective, Hyderabad has emerged as a preferred market for international restaurant launches. Factors such as a young working population, consistent dining-out demand, and openness to global food formats have positioned the city as a testing ground for new concepts. The India launch has been executed in partnership with Isthara, which has expanded beyond its original co-living focus into food-led retail operations. Since entering the food tech space in 2020, Isthara has scaled its presence to over 60 multi-brand dining destinations across India by 2024. The company has positioned itself as a market-entry partner for international food brands by offering access to structured retail locations and established operating capabilities.
For overseas restaurant brands, collaborations with domestic operators such as Isthara enable smoother market entry by addressing localisation, real estate access, and operational execution.
