Bastian Riviera is set to host its first-ever New Year’s Eve celebration, marking a key moment for Bastian Hospitality’s newest coastal property in Morjim. The event represents an operational milestone for the group as it expands beyond its established dining-led model into a broader hospitality and lifestyle format.
Positioned as a lifestyle destination rather than a standalone restaurant, Riviera reflects Bastian Hospitality’s move toward immersive, leisure-driven spaces that integrate design, music, and social experiences alongside food and beverage. Located along the Morjim backwaters, the property has been developed as a low-density coastal retreat with a focus on open layouts and extended guest dwell time.
The property spans a scenic waterfront stretch and is anchored by a pyramid-inspired central structure that houses the main dining and bar areas. Supporting spaces include cabanas built over water features, landscaped courtyards, circular sunbeds, and open-air social zones. The overall design aligns with Bastian’s coastal identity while introducing a more defined architectural approach aimed at differentiating Riviera within Goa’s premium hospitality market.
Riviera’s New Year’s Eve celebration is designed to reflect this positioning. Curated in collaboration with Sexy Beach, the event avoids a fixed-format party structure and instead focuses on music-led progression and guest flow. DJ Shrey, a regular name associated with Bastian properties, will manage the music programming for the evening. The celebration begins at 5 PM and continues into the night, transitioning from sunset hours to the New Year countdown along the coast.
Ranjit Bindra, Founder, Bastian Hospitality, said, “Goa has always inspired us, and with Riviera, we wanted to build something that honors the spirit of the coast while introducing a bold new design identity for Bastian. This is the beginning of a much larger vision for leisure-led destinations under our brand."
Bastian Riviera also represents a strategic shift for the group as it builds a more comprehensive hospitality ecosystem. The current phase of the property focuses on dining, limited stays, and cultural programming supported by a curated music calendar. A second phase is planned to introduce a dedicated wellness offering, expanding the property’s use case beyond social and dining-led experiences.
As the property enters its first New Year’s Eve, the event functions as an early indicator of Riviera’s intended positioning—bringing together food, music, architecture, and downtime in a single destination, aligned with Goa’s coastal setting and Bastian Hospitality’s evolving business strategy.
