Restaurant Brands Asia Posts 265.7 Percent EBITDA Growth in Q1 FY27

Restaurant Brands Asia Limited reported strong first-quarter results for FY27, driven by higher same-store sales, revenue growth and improved operating profitability across its India business. The quick-service restaurant operator also strengthened its financial position following the completion of a strategic investment by Inspira Global.

During the quarter ended 30th June 2026, the company expanded its restaurant network to 752 outlets, adding 9 new stores in India since March 31, 2026.

On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations increased 17.9 percent year-on-year to Rs. 8,226 million, while Company EBITDA (Pre-Ind AS 116) rose to Rs. 435 million from Rs. 119 million, registering a 265.7 percent increase.

The India business delivered its strongest same-store performance in recent years, with Burger King India Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) accelerating to 12.6 percent, the highest level recorded over the last 15 quarters. The company also reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue and EBITDA.

Standalone revenue from operations grew 23.6 percent year-on-year to Rs. 6,829 million. Restaurant EBITDA (Pre-Ind AS 116) increased 68.1 percent to Rs. 900 million, while the restaurant EBITDA margin improved from 9.7 percent to 13.2 percent.

Company EBITDA (Pre-Ind AS 116) on a standalone basis rose 133.6 percent year-on-year to Rs. 527 million, with the EBITDA margin expanding from 4.1 percent to 7.7 percent.

The quarter also marked the completion of Inspira Global's acquisition of a controlling 42 percent stake in Restaurant Brands Asia. As part of the transaction, Inspira Global infused Rs. 1,050 crore through the issuance of fresh equity shares and warrants. Upon exercising the warrants, the investor will infuse an additional Rs. 450 crore, increasing its shareholding in the company to 48 percent.

According to the company, the capital infusion has significantly strengthened its balance sheet and will support future expansion, brand development, restaurant openings, digital capabilities and long-term growth initiatives.
