Nando’s Opens Second Pune Casa at Kopa Mall, Expands City Footprint

Nando’s has opened its second Pune outlet at Kopa Mall in Koregaon Park, following its first location at Phoenix Marketcity. The launch expands the brand’s presence in the city as it adds another location to its India restaurant network.

The new Casa follows Nando’s established format centred on flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken. The chicken is marinated for 24 hours, grilled to order and served with different heat levels ranging from Mild to Extra Hot.

“Pune has emerged as a strong and exciting market for us, and the launch of our second Casa reflects the encouraging response we have received from diners in the city,” said Sameer Bhasin, CEO, Nando’s India. “This opening strengthens our presence in the city and brings the signature Nando’s experience – bold PERi-PERi flavours, customisable heat levels, and our distinctive flame-grilled offering – to an even wider audience.”

Nando’s was founded in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1987 and has grown to more than 1,250 locations across 23 countries. Its menu is built around PERi-PERi, made using African Bird’s Eye Chilli along with lemon, garlic and spices.

The company said its marinades, bastings and sauces use fresh ingredients without artificial flavours or colourants. The new Pune outlet at Kopa Mall adds to its existing presence in the city and takes the brand’s total global network to over 1,250 locations across 23 countries.
