Mary Brown's Chicken Targets 220 Outlets in India by 2030, Sets Rs 550 Crore Revenue Goal

Canadian quick service restaurant chain Mary Brown's Chicken, also known as MB Chicken, is targeting 220 outlets across India by 2030, with a revenue goal of Rs 550 crore. As part of its expansion plan, the company intends to open 10 outlets by the end of this year.

The brand is also finalising 21 additional locations, where agreements have either been signed or fit-out work is underway. To support its expansion, MB Chicken is looking to partner with high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors and multi-brand operators through franchise arrangements.

The chain entered the Indian market in 2025 with its flagship outlet in Chandigarh. Since then, it has been building its presence across Punjab and Delhi-NCR. Its upcoming locations include Gurugram in Haryana, Banga in Punjab, Dwarka in Delhi and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

MB Chicken has also partnered with Hindustan Petroleum to establish outlets at HP fuel stations across India. The tie-up adds fuel-station locations to the brand’s expansion strategy and creates another route for increasing its retail footprint.

Founded in Canada in 1969 by entrepreneurs Pat Tarrant and Cyril Fleming, the chain takes its name from Mary Brown, a Virginia-based woman known for her family fried chicken recipe. The company acquired the rights to the recipe and named its Canadian business in her honour. Gregory Roberts acquired the brand in 2007.

With a target of 220 outlets and Rs 550 crore in revenue by 2030, MB Chicken’s India strategy is centred on franchise partnerships, new market entry and expansion through alternative retail locations.
