Mahindra Holidays Maintains FY30 Revenue Target Despite Q1 Loss

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited has reiterated its target of tripling consolidated revenue by FY30, even as losses in its European operations weighed on the company's first-quarter financial performance.

The company reported consolidated total income of Rs 773.5 crore in Q1 FY27, up 4.5 percent from Rs 740.2 crore in the corresponding period last year. However, consolidated profitability slipped into a net loss of Rs 8.66 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 7.20 crore in Q1 FY26.

The decline was largely attributed to the performance of its European business, which recorded a year-on-year loss of approximately Rs 20 crore during the quarter.

Despite the pressure on consolidated earnings, domestic operations continued to show resilience. Standalone sales value increased 22 percent year-on-year to Rs 154 crore, while resort revenues rose 10 percent to Rs 126 crore. The company also reported resort occupancies of 86.7 percent, reflecting continued demand for vacation ownership and leisure travel experiences.

Standalone profit after tax stood at Rs 54.3 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 76.2 crore in the same quarter last year. As part of its long-term expansion strategy, Mahindra Holidays plans to add around 1,000 room keys during FY27 across destinations including Jodhpur, Ganpatipule, Darjeeling, Jawai and Dalhousie. The company currently has between 8,200 and 8,300 approved room keys and continues to work towards its target of 10,000 keys by 2030.

The company also completed the acquisition of a 100 percent stake in Aditatva Estates Private Limited for Rs 37.5 crore on June 15, 2026, as part of its efforts to expand its leisure resort portfolio. In a separate management update, Rajiv Vimal assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2026, succeeding Vimal Agarwal, who moved to the position of Group Chief Internal Auditor within the Mahindra Group.

The quarter reflected strong domestic travel demand and continued momentum in India's leisure tourism market. However, challenges in the company's European operations remain a key factor affecting overall profitability. The performance of the international business and the execution of the planned domestic expansion will be closely watched over the coming quarters as the company pursues its FY30 growth ambitions.
