K-Bites Opens First Mumbai Outlet in Bandra, Plans Expansion Across India

K-Bites, the Korean street-food quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand from Ambros World Foods, has opened its first Mumbai outlet on Hill Road, Bandra, marking its entry into the city’s competitive casual dining and QSR market.

The new outlet follows a format focused on made-to-order Korean dishes, quick meals and takeaway-led consumption. The menu includes Miso Ramen, Khimchi Noodles, Bao, K House Special Rice and Bibimbap, with the brand positioning Korean cuisine at an average price point of Rs 450–Rs 500 per person.

The pricing and menu format are aimed at increasing the frequency of Korean food consumption beyond premium dining occasions. The concept is designed around smaller meals, quick-service dining and casual visits, allowing the brand to target neighbourhood consumers, students and younger diners.

The Bandra outlet also reflects the brand’s focus on experience-led QSR design. The restaurant uses Korean lettering, graphics, lanterns, warm lighting, an open kitchen and an open counter, along with outdoor seating. Takeaway packaging, including Corn Dog boxes and Fryo Towers, is also part of the outlet format.

For Miten Shah and Abhilash Menon, Co-Founders of Ambros World Foods, the Bandra outlet serves as the starting point for a wider expansion strategy. K-Bites has upcoming outlets planned in Chembur, Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam as the company works towards establishing the brand across multiple markets.

The expansion comes as Korean cuisine gains wider visibility in India, with QSR and casual dining formats providing operators an opportunity to take international cuisines into more accessible price segments. For K-Bites, the strategy combines a focused cuisine proposition with a format designed around quick service, takeaway and repeat neighbourhood consumption.
