GTGO, the Korean F&B platform behind GOPIZZA, Gochujang and Dalkomi, is expanding its portfolio with the India launch of bibigo bapsang, the QSR concept from CJ Foods, through an exclusive strategic partnership.
The partnership will bring three bibigo bapsang outlets to Bengaluru, marking the brand’s entry into India and the beginning of its planned national expansion. CJ Foods, the company behind bibigo, will fund the outlets, while GTGO will be responsible for operating and scaling the concept across the country.
GTGO has built its presence in India over the past five years, growing from GOPIZZA into a broader Korean F&B platform. The company now operates over 65+ stores across GOPIZZA, Gochujang, its Korean street food brand, and Dalkomi, its Korean dessert brand. This existing network will support the rollout of bibigo bapsang in the Indian market.
The new concept will be introduced through standalone dine-in restaurants as well as food-court outlets. The formats are designed to bring bapsang-style Korean meals into different dining environments, with the menu centred on customisable meal sets and bibimbap.
The brand will primarily target Gen Z and younger consumers, particularly those familiar with Korean food, culture and entertainment. The strategy is focused on positioning Korean food within regular dining occasions rather than limiting it to specialised cuisine-led visits.
Mahesh Reddy, Co-Founder and CEO of GTGO, said, "Bengaluru has always been a special market with a vibrant crowd that is ready to try new things. These stores are more than new locations; they are another step towards making high-quality, approachable Korean food a regular part of everyday life for more people across India."
A spokesperson from CJ Foods said, "In Bengaluru, we aim to offer a fun, approachable Korean dining experience through customisable meal sets and bibimbap. By combining CJ Foods' leading brand and product expertise with GTGO's deep local-market understanding and agile execution, we will bring the value of Korean food to more consumers across India."
For CJ Foods, the India launch forms part of its broader K-food expansion strategy. The company plans to use bibigo bapsang to establish its presence in the Indian market while GTGO handles local operations and expansion across key markets.
The Bengaluru launch will therefore serve as the initial operating base for a wider bibigo bapsang rollout in India, combining CJ Foods’ brand and product capabilities with GTGO’s existing Korean F&B infrastructure.
