Foodstories Brings Food and Art Together Through Bengaluru Auto Campaign

Food lifestyle platform Foodstories has launched The Autorickshaw Project in Bengaluru, introducing a citywide initiative that combines food, art and community engagement through a fleet of artist-designed autorickshaws.

Founded by Avni and Ashni Biyani, Foodstories works with farmers, producers, artisans, chefs and makers through curated products and experiences. The new project extends the brand's community-focused approach beyond retail spaces by taking food-inspired storytelling into Bengaluru's public spaces.

The initiative features collaborations with artists from across India, who have created artworks inspired by ingredients, food cultures and discoveries associated with Foodstories. The artworks are displayed on autorickshaws operating across Bengaluru, transforming the city's widely used transport vehicles into mobile art installations.

Among the participating artists, Bengaluru-based Ankita Dsouza explores ingredient origins through works inspired by coffee-infused pecans, Vietnamese purple cashews and Korean tissue bread. Sarah Kaushik's illustrations introduce playful interpretations of food products, while Bengaluru artist Seema Surana's work focuses on ingredients such as white asparagus and specialty coffee. Manvi Vakharia's contributions highlight heirloom tomatoes, adaptogenic mushrooms and agricultural ecosystems.

The project uses autorickshaws as a medium to reach consumers during their daily routines, placing food-related visual storytelling directly into the city's streets and neighbourhoods.

"The autorickshaw felt like the perfect canvas for Bengaluru," said Avni Biyani. "It's one of those rare spaces that almost everyone shares, a vehicle that's woven into the city's everyday rhythm. We loved the idea of taking ingredients and stories that usually live inside shelves and kitchens, and letting them travel through the city in a way that feels joyful and unexpected."

Ashni Biyani added, "The project is really about making food feel cultural again. Not just something you consume, but something that sparks memory, curiosity, identity, and conversation."

The initiative reflects a growing trend among food brands to engage consumers through experiential and cultural marketing beyond traditional store environments. By combining public art, storytelling and food culture, Foodstories is using community spaces to build deeper consumer connections while expanding awareness of its brand philosophy across Bengaluru.
