Burma Burma reported a strong increase in revenue during FY26, with revenue from operations rising 47 percent year-on-year to Rs 155.6 crore from Rs 106 crore in FY25. Despite the higher sales, the company posted a wider net loss as operating expenses grew at a faster pace than revenue.
The restaurant brand, known for serving Burmese cuisine with Indian, Chinese, and Thai influences, currently operates more than a dozen outlets across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh.
Bengaluru remained the company's largest market during FY26, contributing nearly Rs 50 crore, accounting for more than 32 percent of total revenue. Mumbai generated Rs 38.4 crore, while Delhi and Gurugram contributed around Rs 15 crore each. The remaining revenue was driven by outlets in Hyderabad, Noida, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh.
Dine-in continued to be the primary revenue driver for the chain, contributing Rs 128 crore, or around 82 percent of operating revenue. Online orders through food delivery platforms added Rs 15.9 crore during the financial year.
While the company delivered strong top-line growth, profitability remained under pressure due to a sharp increase in operating expenses, particularly depreciation and amortisation. As a result, Burma Burma's net loss widened nearly six times to Rs 14.5 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 2.5 crore in the previous financial year.
At the operating level, EBITDA increased 35 percent year-on-year to Rs 29 crore. The company reported an EBITDA margin of 18.65 percent, while return on capital employed (ROCE) stood at negative 10.1 percent. During the year, Burma Burma spent Rs 1.13 to generate every rupee of operating revenue.
As of March 2026, the restaurant chain reported cash and bank balances of Rs 18 crore, with total current assets standing at Rs 24.6 crore.
Burma Burma has raised a total of $11 million in funding so far. In March this year, the company secured a $4 million funding round, equivalent to Rs 38 crore, which valued the business at Rs 500 crore.
