Bonne Femme has introduced a new cocktail menu that uses regional Indian ingredients and familiar flavours as the basis for its latest beverage offerings. The Kolkata restaurant, known for its fusion-focused food menu, is extending its culinary approach to the bar with cocktails that combine local produce with established spirits and mixology techniques.
The new menu includes drinks such as Matcha Green Fairy, which combines ceremonial matcha with Belle Époque absinthe and Japanese cut ice, and Makaibari Baileys, made with Darjeeling tea and Baileys. The Nolen Gur Whiskey Sour uses Bengal’s nolen gur in an eggless version of the classic cocktail, while Absolut Aam Pora combines roasted raw mango with Absolut Vodka.
The menu also features the Jalpai Martini, which uses vermouth, jalpai syrup and fresh Bengal olives, with a choice of Bombay Sapphire or Roku Gin. Chalta Picante combines chalta, fresh cilantro, green chilli and tequila, while Beer Butter Potter blends beer and whiskey with ginger candy, white butter, caramel, cinnamon and pineapple froth.
The cocktail programme follows Bonne Femme’s broader focus on combining international techniques with Indian ingredients. The new drinks menu places particular emphasis on Bengali produce and flavour profiles, while retaining familiar cocktail formats such as martinis and whiskey sours.
The launch reflects the growing role of beverage programmes in restaurant positioning, with regional ingredients being used to differentiate cocktail menus and create a stronger connection between food and drinks. Bonne Femme’s latest offering expands its beverage portfolio while continuing its focus on Indian-inspired flavour combinations.
