Bellona Hospitality, the food and beverage arm of Phoenix Mills Ltd, is targeting revenue of Rs 600–650 crore by FY30, supported by plans to expand its portfolio to 100 restaurants across its brands. The company reported around Rs 150 crore in revenue in FY26, Managing Director Prashant Issar told PTI.
Bellona currently operates 32 restaurants across five cities under its portfolio of six brands: Ishaara, Dobaara, Cha Hongkong Eating House, Eight, Allora Milano and Legume. Its existing markets are Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Lucknow.
The company has earmarked Rs 100 crore in capital expenditure for the expansion, which Issar said would be funded through internal accruals. The initial focus will be on adding 20–30 outlets across its existing markets, where established infrastructure is expected to support expansion. Bellona will subsequently consider other major markets, including Hyderabad and Delhi-NCR, as well as upcoming Phoenix malls in Kolkata and Indore.
"There is significant scope for expansion in the five cities where we are currently present. We plan to add another 20-30 outlets across these cities, where our existing infrastructure will make expansion easier and more seamless. We will then look at other major markets, including Hyderabad and Delhi-NCR. We will also expand our presence in upcoming Phoenix malls in cities such as Kolkata and Indore," he said.
The company will also assess opportunities in high-footfall locations, including tourist and commercial hubs, depending on site availability and business potential. Issar said the next phase of expansion would focus largely on Cha, Ishaara and Eight. The company is prioritising domestic growth, citing opportunities in the Indian market, while putting overseas expansion plans on hold.
"A few years back, the Middle East seemed attractive; however, now it is not doing very well owing to the current circumstances. So, now our focus will only be on India," he added.
Bellona’s expansion strategy centres on increasing outlet numbers in established markets before entering additional cities, with its restaurant portfolio and presence in Phoenix malls expected to support the planned growth.
