Master Chef Sahil Mehta, often called the French pastry poster boy of India by his clients, is India’s First Certified Bakery, Pastry and Chocolate expert. His early life was spent in Paris, France which gave him the exposure to the French Culture of Dining. He finished his education from one of the most reputed schools in Paris, L’ecole Internationale de Sevres, further to this he graduated in Hotel Management from Santos Dumont Paris and went on to study as prestigious institutions such as Lenotre (Which is called the Harvard of bakery schools) and then at the 3 Michelin Alain Ducasse’s studio institute.
He is trained in Decoupage de fruits de Mer et Fromage, Flambage, Blind Chocolate tasting, innovative pastry creation, bar management, restaurant and patisserie management. He has worked with Ritz – Paris, Bristol, Salon Wilson, Travelers club, hotel Baltimore, Potel et Chabot, Roland Garros and Unesco in Paris. He returned to India in late 2008 and brought a humungous change in the bakery scene in Delhi through changing trends. He has been instrumental in introducing French Bakery and Patisserie to India. He established bakeries across the country for many hotels, chefs and standalone bakeries. He has been a part of many award functions, has won Pastry/Bakery chef of the year for Artful Baker in 2015, was the guest of honour and jury at the Magicka Bakers Awards 2017.
He created his own brand, Paris my love through which he filled the gap of Patisserie de luxe in Delhi, he has been written about many times by top journalists of the country and has won the best bakery North India award for Paris my love in 2022. In March 2023 he was awarded entrepreneur of the year by the ambassador of France. He believes that success for him is to make his audience happy by his creations.
He is also the partner at Tedco Goodrich Chefs Academy (TGCA) where he has designed the diploma course in Bakery Arts specialising is French Patisserie.
