Deepa Prasad is a seasoned supply chain and procurement leader with over 25 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, vendor management and end-to-end supply chain operations. She has built extensive expertise in the foodservice and restaurant industry, with a focus on operational efficiency, cost optimisation, business growth and supply chain resilience.
In her previous role as Director – Procurement and Supply Chain, South Asia, at Independent Purchasing Company (IPC), the franchise-owned purchasing organisation for Subway, Deepa was responsible for direct and indirect sourcing, distribution, supplier development and regional and global procurement categories. She played a pivotal role in re-establishing IPC’s operations in India, building the team, setting up systems and processes, and strengthening end-to-end supply operations. Her work also focused on stakeholder management, franchisee profitability and creating a robust supply chain infrastructure to support sustainable business growth.
Prior to her association with Subway, Deepa served as Head of Procurement at Pizza Hut, part of Yum! Brands India, where she gained significant experience in procurement strategy and restaurant supply chain management.
Her professional expertise spans strategic sourcing, category management, supplier partnerships, cost of sales, value-chain optimisation, team leadership and cross-functional collaboration. She brings a business-oriented approach to procurement, aligning supply chain performance with operational requirements, profitability and long-term growth.
