Tata Starbucks launches order and pay using Starbucks India App

Coffee-major Tata Starbucks launches a feature that allows customers to order and pay using Starbucks India mobile application.

With the new feature, customers can now order ahead and pick up their beverage from a nearby Starbucks store.

The Mobile Order and Pay feature in the Starbucks app is available to My Starbucks Rewards® (MSR) members.

Payments are made by linking a registered Starbucks Card on the Starbucks India App. The Mobile Order & Pay feature offers customers a host of benefits, including convenience and contactless transactions.

“The new order ahead and pay feature will make it easier for our customers to collect their favourite Starbucks coffee without having to wait in a queue” said Navin Gurnaney, CEO, Tata Starbucks Pvt. Ltd.

Inside Starbucks stores, there are a slew of safety measures deployed to ensure world class hygiene standards to keep the Starbucks Experience safe for its customers and partners (employees).

Store flooring and tables can be found marked to adhere to 6 feet social distancing guidelines, with a designated waiting area for customers with takeaway orders.

Hand sanitizers are placed at all key touchpoints across the store and surfaces are sanitised every 30 minutes. The kitchens follow world class safety and hygiene norms. Facemasks and gloves are also mandatory for all partners while inside the store, with all individuals being screened for their temperature before entering. Condiments are no longer kept at the counter, and customers can ask the store partners if needed. There are also designated bins placed at the entrance for customers to dispose of their masks and gloves.

“Today, customers are seeking safe, familiar, and convenient experiences, and so we are accelerating our digital transformation plans to ensure the Starbucks app is the easiest way for customers to find a nearby store, check store hours, order ahead and use contactless payment for their favourite Starbucks beverages and food,” he added.

Tata Starbucks presently also offers online delivery through food delivery apps; and contactless ordering services via WhatsApp and QR code ordering in select stores across India.
