Zomato has launched Healthy Subscriptions, a new offering under its Healthy Mode category, allowing users to sign up for multi-day meal plans from health-focused restaurant partners on the platform. The feature is currently available in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
The move signals Zomato’s deeper push into the growing healthy food and meal planning segment, where demand for protein-focused and wellness-oriented meals continues to increase among urban consumers.
The launch was announced by Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney, head of marketing at Zomato, on LinkedIn. Under the programme, users can choose from 3-day, 5-day, or 15-day subscription plans, with per-meal pricing starting at approximately Rs 250 under the 15-day option.
Subscribers can select either lunch or dinner plans and have the flexibility to modify meals, switch dishes, or reschedule deliveries during the subscription period. The offering includes high-protein meal options sourced from restaurants featured under Zomato’s Healthy Mode filter. As part of the launch, users completing their first Healthy Subscription will receive a complimentary one-month Cult Elite membership.
The launch builds on Zomato’s Healthy Mode initiative, introduced in October 2024. According to Sawhney, the category has generated more than 10 million orders since launch, with a significant number of customers continuing to use Healthy Mode as their default ordering preference.
The latest initiative also marks Zomato’s return to the structured meal segment after discontinuing Zomato Everyday in 2025. The service, launched in 2023, focused on affordable home-style meals for office-goers across metro cities.
Competition in the healthy food delivery category has intensified in recent years. Swiggy currently operates EatRight, a dedicated section featuring high-protein meals, lower-calorie options, and products with no added sugar across more than 50 cities. Meanwhile, specialised players such as FoodDarzee and EatFit continue to offer personalised nutrition and diet-based meal plans, targeting consumers seeking long-term health and wellness solutions.
