Restaurant India News: YAZU, the Acclaimed Pan-Asian Supper Club Launches Its First Outlet in Bengaluru

Bengaluru’s dining landscape is set for a major upgrade as YAZU, the acclaimed Pan-Asian supper club with a presence in Mumbai, Goa, Indore and Chandigarh, launches their first outlet in the city. Known for blending ancient Eastern flavours with modern culinary innovation, YAZU enters Bengaluru as a premium dining and lifestyle destination anchored by a signature open-terrace space and an expansive Pan-Asian menu.

Founded by hospitality veterans Ranbir Nagpal (Founder, Yazu Hospitality), Atul Chopra (Partner, Yazu Hospitality) and Columbus Marquis (Co-Partner, Yazu Bangalore), the brand’s Bengaluru debut marks its next phase of expansion, backed by years of experience in creating immersive and high-performing dining concepts. YAZU Bengaluru brings a menu that spans Japanese, Thai, Korean, Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisines, balances the technique with creativity.

Designed by architect and interior designer Sumessh Menon, Founder of Sumessh Menon Associates, YAZU Bangalore features expressive architecture inspired by everyday life across Asia. The highlight is the Open Terrace Bar, which blends indoor-outdoor dining with panoramic views and a breezy, sunset-lit ambience. The interiors incorporate handcrafted wooden rafters reminiscent of Japanese homes, life-sized figurines of rural Asian women, and a serene waterbody that sets a meditative tone.

"With Yazu, we’ve created a place where people actually want to be. Places that feel right for a family lunch on Sunday, a first date on Tuesday, or that night when your friends are in town. It’s not just about food, it’s about giving an experience that combines refined dining, vibrant nightlife, and cultural sophistication & that’s what makes Yazu a modern Asian escape that appeals to every generation”, says Ranbir Nagpal, Founder, Yazu Hospitality.

The restaurant also introduces a bespoke tea ritual in collaboration with Tea Culture, featuring curated brews such as South African rooibos, Mt. Wuyi oolong and Kashmiri kahwa, paired with light desserts and gelatos.

Led by beverage director Kaustubh Sawardekar, YAZU’s bar program offers a storytelling-driven cocktail journey titled High Spirits of Asia. Each cocktail draws inspiration from regional flavours and iconic dishes. The bar also features artisanal G&Ts with gin infusions crafted from global botanicals.

Nagpal added, “Bangalore has always had an appetite for things that are done well, whether it's coffee, tech, or dinner. People here don't just want to eat; they want to know where the ingredients came from, who's in the kitchen, what the story is. YAZU fits that energy. It's a restaurant for people who care about craft, who value authenticity.”

With locations across Mumbai, Goa, Indore, Chandigarh & now Bangalore, YAZU continues expanding its vision across India and beyond with KICO Bangalore, YAZU Galle, and YAZU Colombo on the horizon.
