Restaurant India News: Westin Hotels & Resorts Opens First Property in Jaipur; Marks Marriott’s 200th Hotel in India

Westin Hotels & Resorts has opened The Westin Jaipur Kant Kalwar Resort & Spa, marking the brand’s debut in Jaipur and Marriott International’s 200th property in India. The nine-acre resort is located at the foothills of the Aravalli range and strengthens Marriott’s presence in one of India’s key leisure destinations.

The new Westin brings the brand’s wellness-led philosophy to Rajasthan, blending Balinese-inspired design with traditional Jaipur craftsmanship. The resort features 135 rooms, suites and private villas, including villas with private gardens and plunge pools. The opening underscores Marriott’s long-term commitment to India and expands choices for travellers within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.

Guests can experience Westin’s core wellness pillars—Sleep Well, Eat Well and Move Well through offerings such as the Heavenly® Bed, a 24-hour WestinWORKOUT® fitness studio, jogging routes, sports courts, and wellness-focused dining across four venues.

Facilities also include the Heavenly Spa by Westin™, five treatment rooms, kids club, flexible meeting spaces, ballrooms and expansive lawns for weddings and events. Curated cultural experiences and proximity to attractions like Amer and Nahargarh Forts further enhance the stay.

Commenting on this significant milestone for India, Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International said, “Celebrating the opening of our 200th property in India is a defining moment for Marriott International and a reflection of the continued trust our guests and owners place in our brands. Over the years, our growth in India has been shaped by hotels that offer enriching experiences through distinctive design, elevated culinary programs, and service excellence that create memorable journeys.”

“This achievement is also a testament to the resilience of the Indian hospitality sector and the strong demand we continue to see across leisure and business segments. We continue to have confidence in our brands and our teams and remain steadfast in our commitment to advancing our growth through a strong pipeline of hotels,” mentioned Andicot.

“We are excited to welcome guests to discover Jaipur through the Westin lens, where cultural richness pairs seamlessly with elevated comfort and balance,” said Kamaljit Singh, General Manager, The Westin Jaipur Kant Kalwar Resort & Spa. “Whether it’s unwinding with our signature wellness offerings, exploring the serene Aravalli surroundings, or enjoying deeply rooted regional flavours, every touchpoint has been designed to create a sense of clarity, calm, and connection.”

With 200 hotels now operating across 18 brands in India and a pipeline of nearly 150 more, Marriott continues to expand nationwide. India remains one of the company’s top three global markets, driven by strong domestic travel demand and growing tourism infrastructure.
