The Tavern Bar & Restaurant, a landmark resto-bar and lounge on Mall Road, Mussoorie, has updated its menu to reflect contemporary dining trends while retaining its classic identity. Known for over 50 years for combining colonial-era charm with a lively modern vibe, the restaurant now offers a refreshed menu that balances heritage dishes with international influences.

The relaunch highlights Tavern’s iconic signatures, such as Mikki Takki Soup and Butter Chicken, while introducing new creations inspired by Himalayan ingredients and global cuisines. Local dishes like Kandali Jhangora Kofta and Timmuri Chicken Tikka incorporate mountain herbs, grains, and spices, while global options such as Gochujang Papaya Salad, Korean Stir-Fried Chicken, and Massaman Lamb Curry provide an international flair. Grills and tandoor offerings, including the Frontier Lamb Rack, marinated for 48 hours, and Zaituni Murgh Seekh, demonstrate the brand’s commitment to rich culinary heritage.
