Restaurant India News: The St. Regis Goa Resort Names Shubham S. Basrur Director of Food & Beverage

The St. Regis Goa Resort has appointed Shubham S. Basrur as Director of Food and Beverage, strengthening the leadership team responsible for the property’s dining operations. The appointment comes as the luxury resort continues to focus on its culinary positioning within Goa’s hospitality landscape.

In his new role, Basrur will oversee the resort’s food and beverage strategy, including menu development and the management of multiple restaurants, bars and lounges within the beachfront property. He will also supervise day-to-day culinary operations and lead teams responsible for delivering dining experiences across the resort.

Basrur will manage food and beverage operations across the property, working with operational and culinary teams to maintain service standards associated with the brand’s “St. Regis Rituals.” His responsibilities will include enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening menu concepts and supporting the resort’s positioning as a dining destination for both domestic and international guests visiting Goa.

A graduate of Institute of Hotel Management Goa, Basrur brings more than a decade of experience in luxury hospitality. During his career, he has worked with several hotel brands and resorts across India and has received recognition including the “Brilliant Manager of the Year” award in 2021.

Prior to joining The St. Regis Goa Resort, he held leadership roles at properties including Park Hyatt Chennai, Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Taj Madikeri Resort and Spa, where he gained experience in restaurant operations, guest service and hospitality management.

Commenting on the appointment, the resort management said, "Shubham is a proactive leader who balances technical analytical skills with a warm, guest-centric demeanour. His track record of providing effective solutions and his deep commitment to the St. Regis vision make him the ideal leader to drive our food and beverage excellence into its next chapter."

With the appointment, The St. Regis Goa Resort aims to strengthen its food and beverage operations while continuing to expand its dining offerings for guests and visitors seeking luxury hospitality experiences in the region.
