Restaurant India News: The Ritz-Carlton, Pune Names Sachin Patil as Director of Engineering

The Ritz-Carlton, Pune has announced the appointment of Sachin Patil as Director of Engineering. He brings more than two decades of experience in luxury hospitality engineering operations, preventive maintenance systems, and facilities management.

In his new position, Patil will be responsible for the property’s end-to-end engineering operations. His mandate includes maintaining safety standards, driving operational efficiency, and advancing sustainability initiatives. He will supervise the engineering team, refine preventive maintenance processes, and implement infrastructure upgrades aimed at supporting consistent guest service delivery.

Patil joins the property after serving as Chief Engineer at Courtyard by Marriott, Pune Hinjewadi. During his tenure there, he led several infrastructure and sustainability-focused projects. These included the installation of an EV charging station and a bottling plant, deployment of high-efficiency chillers and diesel generators, and conversion of the hotel’s lighting system to 100 percent LED with dimmer controls. He also introduced improvements in water treatment systems and kitchen infrastructure. These initiatives enhanced operational performance while lowering the property’s carbon footprint.

Across his career, Patil has worked with multiple international hotel brands in both domestic and overseas markets. His experience includes pre-opening assignments, large-scale engineering rollouts, and operational restructuring. His technical expertise covers building management systems (BMS), HVAC, electrical and mechanical engineering, plumbing, and integrated facilities oversight.

Industry peers recognize him for implementing structured preventive maintenance programs, cost management frameworks, vendor coordination systems, and sustainability-driven operational practices.
