The Passport Hotel has expanded its hospitality offering with the launch of Mini Bar, a cocktail-focused neighbourhood bar at its property in Assagao, Goa. Positioned as an independent destination rather than a traditional hotel bar, the new venue is designed to serve both in-house guests and local visitors, reflecting the property's focus on experience-led hospitality.
The launch builds on The Passport Hotel's positioning as India's first cocktail-forward traveller's hotel, where beverage experiences form a key part of the guest journey. Instead of treating the bar as a secondary amenity, the hotel has integrated it into its broader hospitality concept by creating a social space centred on cocktails, dining and community interaction.
Mini Bar has been developed to function beyond the conventional hotel lobby, encouraging both travellers and residents to gather in a shared setting without restricting access to hotel guests. The concept aligns with the growing demand for hospitality spaces that blend accommodation with local food and beverage experiences.
The cocktail menu draws inspiration from tropical produce, regional ingredients and coastal flavours, with offerings including Passport De Picante, Madame Rosita, Hot Girl Club, Café Noir, and Meloni. The beverage programme incorporates ingredients such as kokum, feni, Coorg coffee, muskmelon and house-made ferments.
Ashesh Sajnani, Founder, The Passport Hotel, said, "From day one, we've believed that cocktails deserve to be at the heart of the travel experience, not just an add-on. That's what inspired us to build India's first cocktail-forward traveller's hotel, and Mini Bar is a natural extension of that vision. We wanted to create a space where people can check in for a stay, drop by for a drink, meet new people and discover great spirits in a relaxed, welcoming setting."
Mini Bar complements the hotel's existing food and beverage portfolio, which also includes the rooftop restaurant and bar Layover and the tasting space Jet Lag. Guests staying at the property can also participate in the hotel's Stamp Collector Program, where a Passport encourages them to visit participating bars across Goa, collect stamps and return to Mini Bar to unlock exclusive rewards.
With the opening of Mini Bar, The Passport Hotel is further strengthening its hospitality proposition by combining accommodation, beverage experiences and destination-led programming, while creating an additional touchpoint for guests exploring Goa's evolving cocktail culture.
