Restaurant India News: The LaLiT New Delhi Names Vishal Sharma as General Manager

The LaLiT New Delhi has appointed Vishal Sharma as its new General Manager, strengthening its leadership team at a time when luxury hotels in the capital are focusing on sharper commercial strategy and operational efficiency. With over 18 years of experience across sales, marketing, and hotel operations, Sharma brings a revenue-driven and market-focused approach to the role.

He began his career with Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces and later moved into senior commercial roles at The Imperial New Delhi, The Claridges New Delhi, and Radisson MBD Noida. Sharma has also previously worked within the Lalit ecosystem, serving as Head of Sales at The LaLiT New Delhi and subsequently as National Head of Sales (Business Hotels) at The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group.

Most recently, he was Director of Sales and Marketing at Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini, operating under InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). He was also part of the IHG EMEAA General Manager Development Programme 2025, indicating structured leadership grooming prior to this appointment.

The appointment reflects a continued trend of commercially strong leaders moving into general management roles, particularly in metro luxury properties where revenue optimisation, brand positioning, and asset performance are critical.

In his new capacity, Sharma will be responsible for overall hotel operations, commercial planning, and guest engagement strategies. His mandate includes strengthening revenue channels, enhancing operational alignment, and reinforcing the property’s competitive positioning in Delhi’s luxury hospitality market.
