Restaurant India News: The Chatpata Affair ‘Nukkad’ Targets ₹50 Cr Revenue by 2027 Through Women-Led Street Food Franchises

The Chatpata Affair (TCA), one of India’s fastest-growing vegetarian street food brands, has announced the launch of its social-impact initiative, Nukkad by Chatpata Affair. The program is designed to empower women and especially abled entrepreneurs by setting up compact, vibrant kiosks within residential societies and gated communities. These kiosks, branded as Nukkad, bring authentic Indian street food closer to home while encouraging local entrepreneurship.

Each Nukkad kiosk offers a curated menu of Indian favorites such as Pav Bhaji, Pani Puri, Samosa, Dahi Puri, Chole Bhature, and regional specialties from across the country from Chennai’s flavors to Rajasthani classics. All dishes are prepared with TCA’s signature focus on hygiene, quality, and flavor consistency.

More than just food kiosks, Nukkad outlets are envisioned as platforms for empowerment, enabling homemakers, young women, and specially-abled individuals to run their own businesses in safe, familiar settings—specifically within residential communities of 1,500 flats or more.

Shiju Pappen, Founder and CEO of The Chatpata Affair, said, “With Nukkad, we’re not just serving food; we’re creating livelihoods. Our goal is to empower first-time entrepreneurs, especially women and specially abled individuals, by providing a guided business model that’s simple, scalable, and community driven.”

The model has been designed with inclusivity in mind and 80–90% of outlets are expected to be led by women, with additional focus on specially-abled entrepreneurs. Positioned as a secure, low-risk business opportunity, it enables first-time entrepreneurs to learn operations hands-on while benefiting from TCA’s established brand and systems.

Currently operational in premium residential communities across Gurgaon, Nukkad kiosks are generating up to ₹3 lakh in monthly revenue per unit, earning praise for their authentic flavors, hygiene, and social impact. Buoyed by early success, TCA plans to expand the Nukkad network to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai, followed by international markets such as Dubai, Australia, and Singapore. By 2027, the company aims to establish 100 kiosks nationwide, generating ₹50 crore in revenue and empowering 100 women and specially abled entrepreneurs through sustainable, community-based enterprise.
