Restaurant India News: TATA Starbucks Opens India’s First Rooftop Starbucks Reserve® Store in Kolkata

TATA Starbucks has opened its first Starbucks Reserve® store in Kolkata, which also becomes the brand’s first rooftop outlet in India. The new store introduces an elevated coffee-focused experience that combines premium brews with the familiar hospitality and community-driven atmosphere associated with Starbucks.

Starbucks Reserve® stores are designed to offer a more immersive and curated coffee journey, featuring rare and small-lot coffees sourced from different parts of the world. With only a select number of such stores globally, the format represents Starbucks’ premium expression of coffee craftsmanship and artisanal brewing.

The Kolkata outlet will serve exclusive Reserve® coffees prepared through brewing techniques including siphon, pour-over, and chemex. Alongside the beverage programme, the store introduces a specially curated food menu that blends regional inspiration with international café classics. Dishes include the Kolkata Chicken Chaap Pizza, alongside offerings such as Mushroom Feta Danish, Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie, freshly baked breads, croissant sandwiches, pizzas, and sourdough toasts designed to complement the coffee experience.

The beverage selection features Starbucks Reserve® signature drinks including the Shakerato Bianco over Ice and Vanilla Bean Latte, crafted to highlight the texture, flavour, and depth of premium coffee. Inspired by Kolkata’s rich artistic and cultural heritage, the store’s interiors incorporate warm wood finishes, bronze detailing, layered textures, and geometric motifs influenced by Bengali art. The rooftop setting further enhances the overall experience, creating a space designed around coffee, culture, and the character of the city.
