Restaurant India News: Soft Serve Pioneer Carvel Partners with Unify Foodworks for India Entry

Carvel, known as the inventor of soft serve ice cream, is set to open its first outlet in India in partnership with Unify Foodworks. The flagship store will launch on October 4, 2025, at L Block, Outer Circle, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

The New Delhi location will feature Carvel’s signature menu, including Flying Saucers, Shakes, Carvelanches, and Dashers, while also introducing flavors crafted for the Indian market. These include the Gulab Jamun Sundae, Biscoff Carvelanche, Mango Swirl, and Cassata Dasher.

The store design is positioned as modern and functional, offering dine-in and takeaway options along with a grab-and-go freezer carrying novelty products such as Flying Saucers. Pricing will begin at Rs 79, with the store operating daily from 12 PM to 12 AM to cater to students, professionals, and families.

Carvel’s India plans extend beyond a single store. The company has announced an intent to create more than 1,000 direct jobs across key Indian cities, signaling long-term investment in the market. To mark the New Delhi launch, the first 20 customers on October 4 will receive a gift hamper.

With its combination of global offerings and India-specific menu items, Carvel’s entry represents a significant addition to the growing organized dessert and QSR sector in India.
