SOCIAL has reopened its Whitefield outlet at Phoenix Marketcity Bengaluru, marking the return of one of the brand’s early locations in the city. The outlet, originally launched in 2015 as the brand’s 5th location in India, has been reconstructed and introduced with an updated design and an expanded food and beverage offering.
The Whitefield location had earlier built a regular customer base among professionals, students, and local residents in the area. With the reopening in 2026, the brand has reintroduced the space with design elements that reflect the transformation of Whitefield from a quieter suburb to a major commercial district in Bengaluru.
The design concept references the region’s earlier landscape, which historically consisted of interconnected lakes before large-scale urban development changed the geography. According to the company, the receding water bodies over time exposed layered rock formations beneath the land. The new interior design draws from these formations, using textured surfaces, fluid shapes, and earth-toned materials to create the layout of the restaurant space.
Situated inside the high-footfall environment of Phoenix Marketcity Mall, the outlet is positioned as a dining and social space catering to office workers, shoppers, and local residents. The layout integrates curved structures and tactile materials to create distinct seating zones within the restaurant.
Satyajit Dhingra, Chief Operating Officer at Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “Whitefield has always had a strong sense of community, and SOCIAL has been fortunate to be part of that journey since 2015. With the reopening of Whitefield SOCIAL, we’re excited to welcome the neighbourhood back into a space that continues to evolve with the city while staying true to what SOCIAL stands for, a place where people can come together, unwind, and feel a sense of belonging.”
The design for the updated outlet has been developed by FK’D Workshop, a multidisciplinary studio founded by architect Faizan Khatri. The studio is known for integrating traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design elements in commercial hospitality projects.
Alongside the redesigned interiors, the outlet will also serve the brand’s updated food and beverage lineup titled “The Big Drop.” The menu introduces a wider range of all-day dining options across multiple categories including breakfast, snacks and chaat, burgers, small plates, main dishes, desserts, and beverages. The company has added new formats such as ramen bowls, breakfast sandwiches, and shareable snack options while continuing to offer several of its existing menu items.
The food menu includes dishes such as Avocado Toast, Anda Kheema Ghotala, Kimchi Momo Ramen, Peanut Butter & Smoke Chilli Ramen, Toast-E-Galawati, Nihari Prashant, and burgers including the Samosalicious Smash Burger and Paneer Bomba Burger. The menu mix reflects a combination of familiar Indian dishes and global formats adapted for casual dining.
The drinks programme has also been updated under “The Big Drop – Peena Edition.” The lineup includes cocktails, pitchers, and signature beverages that have previously been associated with the brand’s bar menu. Items such as the Longest Long Island Ice Coffee (LLIIC), SOCIAL Emotions, Lifafa cocktails, Candy Crush, and a newly introduced drink called Grenade form part of the offering.
The reopening of Whitefield SOCIAL reflects the brand’s ongoing strategy of building neighbourhood-focused outlets that cater to different parts of a city. The location is designed to operate throughout the day, serving a mix of customers ranging from office professionals and entrepreneurs to students and social groups.
With the relaunch of the Whitefield outlet at Phoenix Marketcity, SOCIAL aims to re-establish its presence in one of Bengaluru’s major commercial zones while adapting its design and menu to current dining preferences in the city’s hospitality market.
